Macy’s new corporate headquarters at Progress Place, in the greater-Cincinnati area, involved transforming an old manufacturing plant into a modern work environment. With over 2,500 feet of space and 16’ ceilings the goal was to find a way to unify the space and create a sense of familiarity for six to eight hundred employees. In addition to an updated interior design layout, a code and wayfinding system was also created for the office. Overhead and wall-mounted wayfinding signs were developed, along with large branded wall graphics that were used for brand expression and creating department landmarks, or placemaking elements, throughout the space.
